Attempt at Creativity
So in my attempts to do something creative, I started the conversation with Ashley about how she'd like to do more wedding photography. Well, naturally it got stuck in my head and I started thinking about event planning (specifically weddings) and went a little overboard with Photoshop. These are all just random ideas with patterns that I took from others that I slightly changed to fit my needs. Names and other text is simply made up for the purpose of this exercise.

ZaZa Gallery Awesomeness!
Hey guys just wanted to let you know of this amazing company I just found out about. They take your images and print them on high-quality canvas. Their prices are pretty reasonable and they have all different sizes! It seems like an awesome idea to print on canvas. I can't wait to try them out!

Great Window Treatments...Found
Windows Treatement
I found these great ideas for kitchen window treatments in my search for an application for my own. The website gives great ideas for new and inventive ways to use not only color, but form in a new way for windows. The addition of very simple elements such as ribbons is one of my favorites!s

Lite Brights
Holy Tree!!

I'm actually in awe of this one...it kind of reminds me of a snow globe...the idea that something so out of place fits perfectly in a little globe, or in this case a church. Actually this project is very fitting to be in an abandonned church, not only because faith, like nature, is something that most of us neglect and don't treat with as much respect as we probably should, and also because this signifies a rebirth; the tree has a new purpose of art and inspiration which is what the church is supposed to do for people. I think the beauty really comes in the dichotomy between old and new again. The crackling, reminiscent paint and decoration on the wall against the bright, new life of the tree is intriguing.
Probably the best part of this project is the community involvement- watering, trimming, cleaning...all necessary for this piece to work. Hands-on..always the best way to learn and appreciate.

Bent Plywood? Who knew...
Bent Plywood? Who knew...

Something about the old vs new...the idea that wood is regenerative and recyclable and the new ideas that allow us to take this century old technique of bending plywood to make something sit-able. Not to mention stacking....perfect for schools? Laminated they'd be easy to clean, resistant to scratches and damn near indestructible...and lightweight!!
